This is it! You are on your way to middle school...We will miss you!

To my almost middle schoolers,

This is the time of year where we reflect on all that we have done in 5th grade and look forward to all that you will accomplish.  I have had a wonderful time with both my morning class and afternoon class, teaching you, listening to you, and going a little crazy with you as we have inched our way to the end of the year.  You have all made tremendous growth and I know you will transition to middle school in style and with excitement.

Thank you for being yourselves and sharing all that makes you interesting, funny and unique. It has been a true pleasure seeing you each day and making memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy your summers and please remember to let me know how you're doing in the months to come.  I look forward to hearing about all your experiences and successes.

Love,
Mrs. French

In your response write a letter to me or a friend (blog name) you may not be going to middle school with to tell us your thoughts.

Weekly Reader's Response Due Friday 6/3/2011

Think about the plays you will be performing for the classes next week...
How is reading a play different from reading other types of texts?  Use
examples from our class discussion and your own understanding
to support your answer.

Additionally, what do you like about plays?  Do you prefer to perform a large
role or do smaller supporting roles?  Explain your response.

If you could write a play about something, what would the title be and what
would the play be about?  Give us a glimpse of your creative thinking!
