I am doing Laura Ingalls Wilder. She had three sisters, Mary was two years older, and Carrie and Grace were both younger. Laura Married Almanzo Wilder and had a daughter named Rose. She moved so many times throughout her life. Laura's parents were Caroline Lake Quiner, and Charles Ingalls. Laura also wrote the Little House on the Prarie books. I have read the first one, Little House in the Big Woods and it's really good. I really like Laura Ingalls Wilder and she' svery interesting.
ReplyDeleteI am reading about John Quincy Adams.Some things that I have learned so far are, he is the oldest son of Abigale and John Adams. Also, he was a very smart teenager. He went to Harvard and study around the world. He Also was the fifth president of the United States.
ReplyDeleteI am doing Eleanor Roosevelt. Her mom and dad both died when she was a kid. Ever since that her mother told Eleanor she wanted me and my sibling to live with my Grandmother Hall if she had ever died. My Grandmother wanted to give us more punishments since we lived with her. When she was old enough to leave her Grandmothers house she left. She got Married to this man named Franklin Roosevelt. She had a baby but he died when he was 11 months old. She had 4 kids.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading Pocahontas my book is about when Pocahontas mother bring back corn for her family to eat.I have been starving my whole life and now my mother brought back CORN.Also I've learned that Pocahontas bother was adopted.I also think that my dad hurt someone and he might be in jail right now I hope he didn't hurt someone.
ReplyDeleteMy character is Helen Keller. She is blind and def. But she overcame that and helped others like her. She became blind and def when she was very young. She had a really bad fever, and the doctor thought she was going to die. But one morning the fever left her. But made her blind and def.
ReplyDeletei am reading about geronimo he is strong and fierce. he is a war chief for the apaches. the apaches are a tribe. he was in many battles but did not die from that he died from natural causes.the spirit told him no bullet will kill him.

ReplyDeleteI've been reading my biography on Alexander the great. When he got shot with an arrow, a group of his soldiers shielded him and went to get him straight to a medic. when the arrow got pulled out, even more blood gushed out of his lung. The medic strapped a bandage around the wound. I have also learned that the Romans created the formation "phalanx" which means 144 soldiers arranged in a 12by 12 square. Another phalanx is 468 people arranged in 48 people in a row and 12 people deep.

ReplyDeleteSo far I have learned alot about him. All of Martins freinds called him M.L as a kid. One of my opoinings that is very intresting is that M.L was less inportant than Rosa parks. There both big time heros but Rosa parks was the first one to stand up for herself against the Jim Crow laws. She was running a church and started a boycout against riding the buses, but she had to go to prison for risisting the Jim Crow laws. She sent M.L to be the leader of the church and boycout. So thats how every thing started.
I am reading Franklin Delano Roosevelt. His parents are James and Sara Roosevelt.he lives in new york. he was born on January 30, 1882. At 52 he was a vice president of the Delaware and Hudson railway.
ReplyDeletei am reading about Sacagawea. she was a shoshone girl and got captured and they brought her to the Missouri River. Sacagawea became a slave at Minnetare Village. When she was 16 SHE WAS SIX MONTHS PREGNANT!I think she is a hero by helping Lewis and Clark in thier expedition that i already learned from a couple years ago.

ReplyDeleteIm doing Dainel Boone. he was eight when he was learning how to hide from different Indian tribes. then, he met an Indian named wolf. they became friends. then Mr . McGuire told things about him hunting in places. That made Dainel Boone wanting to be a hunter (the first page was when Mr. McGuire told his hunting storys)

ReplyDeleteI am doing Benjamin franklin. I have learned that he was born on Janurary 17,1706.He was born in boston in a 4 room house on milk street. He had seven other brothers and sisters.Right after he was born he was rushed over to the south street chuch to be baptized.I also learned that he invented alot of thongs that effect my life and he discovered electricity wich effects everybodys life.It is my oppion that he was and still is a very intelligent guy.

I have been reading and so far its about a young girl named molly pitcher and she is rasing a calf named Blossom and someone took Blossom and so molly went after him to find her calf.She found her and the boy and he wouldnt give Blossom back so then the sheriff came and told the boy to give it back to her and so he did.Then molly interd Blossom into the fair to win a prize.Its her tern she go's in and she did a amazing job and then she won the prize.She came in first place for having the most prittest and cleanist calf there is!!
ReplyDeleteMy character for my biography is Genghis Khan. What I learned is that he isn't about running into battle and kill everyone. He mostly focused on tactics to win a battle. He also believed it isn't a city's civilians that cause problems but the rich people that caused problems. He invaded cities because he said that God had sent him and he came to punish them for their wrong doings.
ReplyDeleteI am reading about Amelia Earhart. The reason she wanted to fly is one day she built something like a roller coaster and she said it was like flying. She liked it so much she wanted to fly. She got a trainer and realized she wanted to fly across the world. She also performed stunts and sometimes got hurt. On day she was doing a stunt and her plane was starting to have mechanical trouble.

ReplyDeleteFrom what i have learned Marie Currie and her husband died of radiation poisining. Also she lived in Warsaw, Poland and moved to Paris France when she was 18. In Paris she discovered radium and polonium. She also loves science! One time a neighber begged Marie to take a break for her healths sake, Marie refused. So just from reading that little I learned a lot about Marie Currie and from what I learned Marrie Currie is brave, smart, and LOVES science!!!

ReplyDeleteFrom what I have learned Amelia Earhart was a great person. She was born in Atchison, Kansas, on July 24,1897. Her first job was a nurse for World War 1. But ofcourse she had to quit college until she was done. Then she became a pilot for a while. She bought a plane and painted it so that it looked like a canary. That's exactly what she called it too, The Canary. Then a few years later she sold the canary, bought a car, and started working with poor children. While she was working with the children she met George Putnam and he needed a woman for a flying job. She is a good hero from what I have learned.
ReplyDeleteSo far the book about Franklin Delano Roosevelt has been good. I found out he wasn't born with polio. I also found out his dad was old enough to be his grandpa when Franklin was born. His mother was only 26 years old. His dad was 52 years old.
ReplyDeleteRonald Regan was the 40th president of the united states.He was born on February 6th 1911.When he was a child he moved to a lot of different places.He had a father named Jack and a mother named Nelle.He also had a brother named Neil, whos nick name was moon.His nick name was Dutch. Dutch played sports in school but he always wanted to be a radio announcer.When he got out of college he went to see if NBC radio would take him.They told him to start smaller because he had no experience.Soon he would become a well known radio talk show host in California.While he was there he got a screen test because he wanted to be an actor.In less than 42 hours he got a call from an agent and he said that he had been hired.Soon after that he married his first wife,Jane Wyman.They broke up after a while because she said that he was too political.He father died.After that he met his 2nd wife,Nancy Davis.In 1966 he ran for governor of California.He won and then was governor for 2 sessions.
ReplyDeleteMy person is Albert Einstein. The weirdest fact I have learned is that Albert Einstein went to High-School when he was 10 years old he got kicked out of High-School for being to smart! The teachers thought he was a bad influence asking questions that the teachers couldn’t answer. He was very mad and didn’t go to school until he was 14.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Aung San Suu Kyi. I have learned about a country named Burma that she lives in. She was born on July 20,1989. Her father was assassinated and he was very popular and almost everyone in Burma loved him. When she was seven her brother drowned. So now its only her mom, brother, and her. I feel very bad for her because its hard to lose that many people that she was close to.

Well, I have Pocahontas as the person I must research about and I hope that I may learn more about her life than just what you may have seen in the Disney Princess Movie. I might learn about her tribe, customs, family, accomplishments, and most of all, why she is so important. Well, I know that she is married to a man named John Rolfe and was good friends with John Smith as a young girl. I hope to find out much, MUCH more about her because she seems very interesting!

I have been reading about John Adams. I have learned he was the second president in the United States. Also he is married to Abigail Adams. He doesn’t want to go to collage, he wants to stay home and take his dads place and farm. However he still went to school and collage. He lived with his latten teacher so he could pass latten.
