Science MSA is over, what did you think? When you read science tests what do you do differently than when you read other tests? Are there specific techniques and strategies that help you understand a science-based article, that you would not use for other reading?
What areas of science have we reviewed over the last couple weeks? Of all the topics, videos and acitvities we have covered which have been the ones you liked the best?

i am glad that science MSA is over. i think that it was kind of easy and kind of hard.yes i read science tests i read them differently than other tests. i read the key words more than once. yes i usally pay more attention on the key words. the last couple of weeks we reviewedplants and different stategies. i liked the landslide video and the science projcet with the different kinds of rocks.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that the science MSA is over and that the other MSA's are over. I think that the science MSA was easy for the most part and just certain questions were difficult. When I read science test's I don't really read them any different than any other test. One tequnick that I do use that I dont use in reading is that I notice the keywords more to help me understand the question.
ReplyDeleteI was not glad MSA was over because I knew there would be the return of the homework. Since Mrs. french gave us a new assighnment of two weekly readers response entries made me feel like my life was saved. I also like that MSA is over because my stress over it is over. I had stress sickness over MSA this year.

ReplyDeleteI thought that the MSA science was a little easier than I expected but it defenitly wasnt easy. I think what I did differently was when I read it was I didnt look over it as much as the math questions and the LA. I think a lot of people might have techniques that only fit specific stuff but my techniques fit every subject. I liked doing the acitvities where we get to make stuff and experiment. For example, in Mr. Sahli's class we made flags. I also liked when we made projects from the red tic tac toe page in your class!
ReplyDeleteOne thing is that the science MSA is over and I am glad that the science MSA is over because one thing was that it was long and that you had to remember all the stuff from second grade and third grade and fourth grade and fifth grade so I was tired of the science MSA and the one thing you had to do is a bcr but it had a lot of bcr that was hard there is something else that science MSA was that it was really hard to do four two day in a row so it was hard to me to do that stuff.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that MSA is over. i think the science MSA was harder than both reading and math. my favorite subject out of them is math because its fun but i don't like it when it is 2 hours of math.
ReplyDeleteI think science Msa wasnt too bad. Every thing was easier except for the BCR's. If we did just mutiple choice on the computer, and bcr's on paper it would be much easier. I would've rather took it in a booklet. Last year I used to think it was easy and all the fourth graders pobably think the same thing for now. But before they judge it like I did they should watch out, because it isn't as easy as it seems
ReplyDeleteSience MSA text is pretty hard. You dont have to pay atttention as much and it is usually short. I think reading a L.A text is a lot harder. There are bigger words in sience text though. Im hoping in middle school the science text wont be so much harder. I liked the videos the best. Enspecially the landslide one.

ReplyDeleteI really liked the Science MSA. I liked all the tools that you can use. I really liked how you can cross answers out. Also, it's cool that you can highlight important things in a passage. They weren't as easy as I thought they would be. I think that pretty soon the language arts and math MSA are going to be on the computer too!
