Weekly Reader's Response Due 4/29/11

Our next BIG assignment is to select a biography about a person you are interested in learning more about.
Have you decided who you would like to read about yet?  If so, tell us who the person is.  If not, tell us who
you are thinking of reading about.  Are you having trouble deciding who to read about?  Think about what you're interested in and ask me, your parents, or a friend if they know a person that fits into your interests.

What do you think will be different or similar about reading a biography compared to reading other texts?
Do you think all the same strategies apply?  What purpose questions will you have when reading about
a person you don't know much about?

Write in complete sentences and make sure to answer all sections of the blog. 

Weekly Reader's Response Due Friday 4/15/11

Yipee, Spring break is almost here!  We can all use some days to rest and rejuvenate to prepare for the last few weeks of school.

Do you have big plans for Spring break?  Are you traveling somewhere special?  Visiting someone you haven't seen in awhile?  

Tell us about your Spring break plans.  Even if you are staying home and
just playing with friends and family, share what you hope to have a chance
to do.

Write your response with 5-8 sentences.  Use proper grammar, spelling
and punctuation.

Science MSA is over, what did you think?  When you read science tests what do you do differently than when you read other tests?  Are there specific techniques and strategies that help you understand a science-based article, that you would not use for other reading? 

What areas of science have we reviewed over the last couple weeks?  Of all the topics, videos and acitvities we have covered which have been the ones you liked the best?
