MSA is finally over! Yay! You all did a great job and worked very hard!
We would like your feedback about the tests.
Please answer the following questions honestly and let us know how you
felt about the tests.
1. Did you feel like the LA portion of the test was easy, just right, or too hard?
2. What would you recommend the teachers do next year to better prepare students
for the LA portion of the MSA tests?
3. How did you feel about Math?
4. Were there problems and skills that you were not prepared for? If so, which ones?
5. What is your opinion of MSA testing? Do you think its necessary? Do you have a recommendation
for a better way to test 5th grade skills?

I am glad MSA'S are over.1. The LA portion was kind of easy but not too hard. 2. On tests you should make it like the MSA's and not let you do anything when you are done. 3. I felt fine because it was not hard. 4. No there were no skills. 5. I think it is just a test for teachers of how well they are teaching us.

ReplyDelete2. I would recommend you to make them do extra study guides and you would help them on it just before MSA's.
3. I felt pretty good about math except for 1 BCR it just gave me a little trouble.

5. My opinion of MSA testing is I think it is really fun and just right. I do think it’s necessary because that tells you every year how you’re doing on math and reading. I don’t have any recommendations its perfect the way it is.
The MSA, LA portion part of the test was just right. The way you can prepare kids for next year is by doing more BCR's about the setting,and plot. The way i felt about the math portion is that there was no "just right" questions. It was ether to easy or to hard. Im am not a big fan of MSA. I was not prepared for BCR's. I think MSA is necessary.

I am very glad that the MSA's are over. I found the LA portion to be just right. I think teachers should give students a practice packet for the MSA to be more prepared. I felt the math MSA portion was just right. There were no skills on the math test that I was not prepared for. I think the fifth grade MSA was more easy then i expected and i think that in each subject they should give a practice MSA packet

3. Math was a lot harder because the questions took longer and we had less time.I also felt more rushed.
4. There was nothing on the LA. On the math the BCRs were harder in my opinion.
5. I think it is very nerve racking and it made me feel very stressed. I think instead we should do smaller tests instead.
Well I think the LA part was just right. There where a few hard ones but the rest where pretty easy. For the LA MSA they could of helped us more by giving us more passages to read and talk about them more. I think the math was hard. Yes, something I wasn't prepared for on math was the BCRs and the mean. I don't like MSA and I don't think it is necessary. Instead of making a big deal over this one test, they could cut the test down to smaller tests over the grade.

1) I thought the LA part was very easy! I was very prepared for every question on that test.

3) Now, math wasn't exactly the same. It was hard and not fun AT ALL! I don't think I did the best on that.
4) I knew a lot of the questions but my brain just washed away on that test. The BCR's were specially challenging.

4. I was prepared for all the skills they gave me and I was prepared for the ace stratigeies.
5. I don't like the MSA all the time. Yes I do because if we want to go to middle school we have to do the MSA's. No I don't because I think next year's fifth graders will do good

I agree with you pinkponie16 because I thought the L.A. portion was just right for me to. I also agree that the MSA's are necessary because it does help you see how you are doing in those classes.

2) I think you should teach the kids the exact same thing you taught us this year!

I think la MSA where a little hard but I also think that la is very important thing because I would not know how to read write. I think you should give them the info they learned when the school year started. the math MSA was more hard than the la one. i know a lot more about reading then math. there where some promblems that i did not know a lot about them, but all the same I did my best on them
