We are moving into the last half of 5th grade! In just a few short months you will be going to middle school!
Your teachers will begin talking to the middle school about your transition and you will have a chance
to visit both Oakdale Middle School and TJ Middle School very soon. As you think ahead to the
next chapter of your school years answer the following questions:
1. Do you feel prepared academically?
2. What concerns or questions do you have about middle school?
3. What could your elementary school teachers do to help you feel ready?
4. Do you know what to expect in middle school?

I am going to Oakdale middle school. I'm feeling a little nevous academicaly. The question I have is.... how many teachers will you have in middle school? My elementry school teachers would offer advice to help me in middle school. I only know one thhing to expect in middle school: The teachers expect you to work very hard!
ReplyDeleteI feel ready for middle school! Well, at least halfway I supose... anyways, I fell very good about my grades for half of middle school by now! But one thing, I expect getting stuffed in a locker. I am concerned about the friends I might make. But one thing I am very happy to say, is that I have cool teachers that i like to listen to and they help me settle down on the thought of going to middle school.

I also know what to expect because of my brother. I feel like my teachers have taught me well because I do not think my teachers can not do anything to make me feel any more ready.

I am so happy that I am going to middle school, but also sad because most of my really good friends are going to T.J middle when I'm going to Oakdale middle. I feel very prepared, so prepared that I am not scared for middle school at all. Two questions i have is what electives can you have? and, How many teachers do you have? I think my teacher can help me out by showing more examples when I don't understand something. Lastly I am very well prepared for middle school because I have a sibling that is done with middle school and she's taught me alot

I am ready to go to middle school and i can't wait But I won't see my favorite teachers that i loved.I hope to get to have more friends in middle school and i hope my classes are good.I hope i have good teachers like i had in elementary school, but i will miss my friends in third grade but i can call them if i not to busy doing more homework and it will be ten times harder in middle school then elementary school.I am very exited.

I don't feel prepared academically. I don't feel prepared because it's not even the end of the year. Also I would like to be treated like a sixth grader to prepare for sixth grade. The school that I'm going to next year is oakdale middle.Sometimes my mom say things like I'm growing-up to fast. But I think I'm growing to slow.

I feel prepared academically because I'm having great teachers that do stuff I actually pay attention to! some of the concerns I have for middle school is the rumor of being stuffed in a locker true or not. some of the things I expect of middle school is not liking everyone, I expect that I will despise at least one teacher I might have, and I know there will be at least one evil dude in middle school. I think that my teachers don't need to change very much to make me feel comfortable to go to middle school.

I do feel ready academically for middle school, but it feels a little sad knowing I won't be able to come back here. My two concern for middle school are: 1. Having a different teacher for each subject 2. Getting up an hour earlier because I'm having trouble getting up right now. I think my teachers could tell us a little more information about middle school. I expect to do better in middle school because the work isn't getting easier and I want to keep getting straight A's on my report card.
