We have been learning about the elements of fiction the last couple weeks. For a moment reflect on what you have learned about conflict and characters. Share with us a character from a story or movie that is a favorite and tell us why. Along with explaining the character's traits tell us what type of conflict the character faced in the story and how they resolved it.
Remember to use complete sentences, proper punctuation and spelling.

My favorite movie character is Cody from the Thirteenth Year. I like him because he's brave . He's brave because he turning in to a mermaid (or merman) and he is not suppose to go in the water, and he is on his school swim team. He wants to do the state finals and his parents said he can't go but he goes anyway for his team and wants to win! Cody faces not doing swim team cause he is turning into a mermaid but he tries to deal with turning to a mermaid while swiming in the stae finals

ReplyDeleteI like Mickey Mouse because he is nice and you can learn lots of new things,like if you are in first grade or any other grade you could learn new stuff from school so when you come back to school you could tell your teacher what you learned from that show!Mickey Mouse is sweet, serious and also like a teacher.a conflict that he has is that in lots of episodes he loses his dog and he finds clues to figure it out to fined his dog!
ReplyDeleteI am writing about the BENCH WARMERS,the character Clark.I like the character because he is really funny.his character traits are funny,happy,and nice.His problem is he is really bad at baseball.At the end of the movie he gets a little bit better.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Wilbur from Charlotte's web.He's my favorite because he is a really cute pig and he's the main character. The type of conflict is person Vs. person. Wilbur resolved his problem by having Charlotte(the spider) write something above Wilbur's stall that helped him win the competition.

My favorite book is My Sister The Vampire because it has a lot of action and it even a little bit of a mystery in it to. The conflict of my book is the two twin sister try to find there biological parents but Ivys dad will not tell. My favorite character is Ivy because she is the vampire and she says stuff funny in parts of the book. The conflict gets solved my Ivy and Olivia the two twin sisters go in to Ivys dads lab, and find a secret room and find that there real mom died in a car accident and Ivys dad is there real dad.

ReplyDeleteoh from year one, he is my favorite character because his best friend is not smart but he has a lot of common sense. the conflict is person vs person because his best friend thinks hes smart but gets lucky by even surviving and oh had to deal with him because his hut got burned down so he had to venture through the woods with his best friend. he resolved the problem by just hanging in there and they got through there tough times.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Alvin and Chipmicks because it is so funny and my favorite charcter is Alvin beacause he is funny and I wish I could read one of his book. He is a wonderful singer.Dave keeps on saying "Alvin"! Dave keeps yelling at Alvin because he sings really loud. Alvin's conflict is Dave keeps on yelling at him.

ReplyDeleteMy movie is Grown Ups my character is whoever Adam Sandler plays.The conflict is he invites his friends over because Coach Buzzer is dead so him and his friends go to Coach Buzzers lake house they rent it for a week but he can only stay for the weekend.Then he decides to stay and the conflict is person vs self .I like Adam Sandlers character because he followed his heart to do the right thing
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is probably Bed Knobs and Broomsticks.It's a Disney movie. My favorite character is Miss Price, or Eglantine Price. She is a witch. She was ordering all of her materials from a college for witches. But she's upset when she gets a letter from the college saying that they are closing the college. I really like how she goes on a bunch of adventures to keep the college from closing. I think it might be person verses society. I love that movie!!!

ReplyDeletemy favorite character is the bounty hunter because he needs money so he kidnapps his wife because she missed her trial. so he had to take her all over the country. but the bounty hunter and his wife team up to get the bad person and the bad person stole money. but the bounty hunter didn't get to keep the money but he got an award so he could pay off the house. and the x-wife didn't get prosecuted.It is person vs. person

ReplyDeleteThe Character is bounty hunter from the movie The Bounty Hunter. I like the character because he tricked these people that are rich. Then the bounty hunter goes to the car and steels the money. I also like the character because he kindnaps his x-wife all over the place. The conflict is person vs person.
ReplyDeleteI like Percious from clash of the titans because the other humans declare war against the gods and Hadies kills his family and he wants revenge and he goes through great dangers as Madusa, his step dad, The Kraken,great big armoured scorpions, and he defeats hadies in the end like all movies. Percious's conflict is having to defeat all these dangers. He defeats Madusa by head-chop, he defeats his step dad by a sword from the gods,uses Madusa's head to turn the Kraken to stone, and electrafied his god sword to launch Hadies back to the underworld. This movie is person vs. demons.
ReplyDeleteI agree with pink-ponies 14 because I read the my sisters a vampire book before and there was a lot of parts where ivy says really funny stuff that makes me laugh. Also my favorite character was ivy. When Olivia and ivy found there were twins i felt so happy.
ReplyDeleteDarth Vader is my favorite character because he has a cool mask. I like his light saber movements. I liked how he was a good guy in the Clone Wars and the bad guy in the third, fourth, and fifth and in the sixth movie he turns back into a good guy. And the conflict in there is when the emperor was killing his son with sith lightning then the Darth Vader picked up the emperor and threw the emperor over the side of the Death Star's balcony.

ReplyDeleteI like Harry from the Harry Potter series because he is cleaver and smart and always knows what to do. I also like Harry because he has his own unique style and has a really big conflict with a guy named Voldemort because he is trying to kill him and he’s already killed Harry’s parents… I recommend Harry Potter and see what Harry will do!

The problem in the story is that a man wants to get all of there money. She solves it by making inventions to get away.

His conflict is person v.s. socity because he has to face that his tree (home) gets cut down and he and his brothers have to find a place to live.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a book called"Ella Enchanted" (and it is also a movie). My favorite character from this book/movie is Ella. Ella is having a conflict with Lucinda(Character vs. Character). She is mad at Lucinda because Lucinda gave Ella a spell when she was born. Her spell was that she obeys every command she is told to do. Lucinda would be considered the antagonist, or the bad person. Ella would be considered the protagonist, or the good person. Of course it isn't a story like great Good vs.Evil, but it is Character vs. Character. Ella is my favorite book/movie character.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character from a book is Alex Rider. I like him because he's always doing something nobody could predict. Also the books are really good. The conflict Alex faces in each story is different but in the story I just read the conflict was person vs. person, because Alex gets sent to a "finishing school" for bad kids that is run by a mad man and its up to Alex to free the children at the school before they're brainwashed.

ReplyDeleteI think that my favorite book is Stolen Children because it is a kidnapping book where two girls get kidnapped and the girls names are Amy and Kendra my favorite character is Amy. My favorite character is Amy because she is so calm even though she is kidnapped. she is also with a little girl they have both been kidnapped and she is very helpful and nice to Kendra. I think the conflicted is person vs. person because Amy and Kendra are both trying to get out while being stopped by the kidnappers Hugh and Smokey! I think that is the est book I ever read!
ReplyDeletemy favorite book is defiantly kensuke's kingdom because it takes you up and down and gives you all this feedback about whats going on and the main character is Micheal and his dog Stella and the conflict is character vs nature because he falls off the Peggy sue and floats all the way to a island with his dog Stella and he has to use stuff on the island to survive like:water,bananas ,leafs,wood and broken glass to survive.
ReplyDeleteI like Monnokke from the movie princess Monnokke, because he is very brave and even though he knows hes going to die he still fights for what he knows is right. He also has a giant conflict with a bunch of people who are trying to kill a night walker who protects a forest so he has to stop them. I suggest that you watch the movie because its really good
ReplyDeleteI like Max from Max and Ruby the book.I like max because it's funny when he puts random things in his pocket.Max has the traits of being funny,nice to Ruby(his older sister)and liking to play with things he's not supposed to.Max's problem is that he wants to keep the weird gross things in his closet but Ruby won't let him.The conflict is person vs person because it's Ruby against Max.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite book/movie is Harry Potter. I like him because of the trouble he faces. 3 of his character traits are brave, smart, and caring. The conflict is between Harry and Lord Voldemort. The type is person vs. person. The conflict is happening because Lord Voldemort realy wants Harry dead. He solved this by killing Lord Voldemort.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book Character is Stosh (Joe Stoshack) from the And Me series. I like Stosh because he uses baseball cards to time travel and I love collecting baseball cards. I also love baseball and Stosh loves baseball too. Most of the books is person versus person, because he sometimes gets captured while he's back in time by bad people and almost gets killed by them but he escpapes every time.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Alvin and the Chipmunks.My favorite character is Alvin because he really how he thinks it's all about him but it's how Alvin tries to run away from someone who tries to take him to stay but he doesn't want to go.Next,Alvin tries to show his fans that it wasn't him and his brothers singing but it was how he was lip singing.Lastly, the conflict was character vs. character because Alvin and his brothers try to run away from Ewen there manager and Dave tries to save them so that Dave can take Alvin and the brothers home.The reason why I like Alvin is because he is funny and he always gets in trouble just like me.

ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention why I like Ella. I like Ella because she is funny, obedient, and she has different emotions for things that happen. If you like magic, detailed books, and adventure you'll love "Ella Enchanted". I recommend reading this book or watching this movie.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Jake Drake Teachers Pet. I like Jake because is is a fourth grader that has a problem about being a teachers pet. What Jake has a problem with he is teachers and his friends. His problem is that the teachers keep on treating him like a (pet). his friends think that he is a teachers pet so they make from of him. This is a character Vs. society. I like Jake because he is just like me.

His conflict is that a dinosaur thinks he is a chew toy and this huge invincible bunny attacks him and somme random kids. They resolved there conflicts by throwing the dinosaurs REAL bone and a bug rainbow light makes the bunny like thing fly into space.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is emily from The Tail of Emily Windsnap.She is very outgoing and caring because she is trying to find her dad because hes in prison and she wont give up trying to look for her dad in prison.The conflict she faces is she doesnt know where her dad is so she looks for him.I didnt finish this book but I predict the Emily trys to look for her dad in prison and she finds him and takes him home.
