ReplyDeleteI think the during strategy is the most useful because you can make connections and also when your reading you can make pictures in your head
I find before reading most useful. Because i like to prevew and look at the photos.Way its useful most for me is because it helps me set a main goal.
ReplyDeleteI think the before strategy is most useful because you know what you are about to read and know if you like the book.(and its fun to look at pictures!)
ReplyDeleteI think that the reading stage is the most important, because that's basically how you know if your going to read a book or not. Without it you wouldn't know if your going to like that book
ReplyDeleteI think after reading because if you skip over things you can go back and reread. Also you can summarize it to help you remember or share what you have read.
ReplyDeleteI find the before reading strategy the most useful because you can find out a little about the book before you read the book
ReplyDeleteI think I would go with the before reading strategy because I like to preview and skim a text in a book.If it is also a book with pictures I like to look at the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI think its the after reading stage because it helps you remember what you read just in case you ever need the facts you learned from the book
ReplyDeleteI like the before reading because previewing lets me get a idea of what I'm reading. Also when I'm reading I forget to stop most of the time
ReplyDeleteI think the most important reading process is the after reading. This process is the most important because it helps you remember what you read.
ReplyDeleteI think the most useful is before reading. For example, previewing is very important and it helps you know if you like the book and it tells you about the book. Another example, looking at the tittle is important because it also tells you a lot about what the book is going to be about!!!
ReplyDeletei kinda agree with frenchbannana25 because if you dont read the book you wont know if you like it or not but i still like the before stratagy
ReplyDeleteI think the before reading strategy is the most useful. I think it is the most useful because one thing you can do is preview a new book by looking at the pictures, reading the back, and read the first few pages to see if you like it.
ReplyDeletefrenchbanana27
ReplyDeleteI think the during is most useful because you can make all three connections and have a picture in your mind.
September 10 2010
I think previewing is the most important to me because if you don't preview you wont know what your book will be about.
ReplyDeleteI find pause and reflect in the after reading stage most useful because it sometimes helps me understand the book better.
ReplyDeleteI like frenchbanna24 because before reading is very important.
ReplyDeleteI would go with the before reading srategy an example is plan. That helps because you can plan how many chapters a day to finish the book.
ReplyDeletei agree with frenchbannana45 on the first part of there comment the before reading stage does let you get an idea of what your reading.
ReplyDeleteI think the during reading is the best way because pretend you are the middle of reading a book and you don't know a word what should you do.You can go to the during reading and see what you can do when you don't know the word.It would say look in the dictionary and find the word in the alphabet to see where to look and there you see the word you were stuck on and you see the definition and you say oh that's what that means.
ReplyDeleteI think remembering from the after reading stage is the most important so that you don't forget what you read.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing as French banana45 I normally forget to pause and reflect
ReplyDeleteFrenchbannana28 is very true about the after reading stage it does help you remember what your reading.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you number 28 but I also think that you can summarize to remember or share with a friend.
ReplyDeleteI think that after reading is an important strategy because sometimes you don't understand some things (like spell check or sentences that didn't make sense). So you can go back and reread the parts or words you didn't understand and it might make more sense.
ReplyDeleteI say French Banana 37 is exactly correct and well said.It is well said because remembering what you read is very important.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you frenchbanana27 because I can picture something in my head too with the book from the library.
ReplyDeleteI think the before reading strategy is more useful because you might not know what it is about and you'll know if you like it.
ReplyDeleteI think the during reading because you can make connections while you are reading. For example the book takes place in Georgia and you went there over the summer. That is why I think the during reading in the most useful.
ReplyDeletei find the before reading most useful because before you read you have to make a purpose, plan, and preview. Those are the most useful for me.Also you can skim the chapters and the paragraphs. Also you could highlight important words and look at the bold words when you are previewing.
ReplyDeleteI find the before strategy most useful. Because you can skim the chapters, look at bold words, and make a good prediction on what is gone to happen. It is also(fun to me so that is way it is the most useful way to me).
ReplyDeletei find the before strategy most useful becuase you can skim the book and look at pictures. also you can find bold words and you can realize since thier bold thier important. next you can read the back of the book to get a summary about the book . those strategies in the before reading process will help you learn alot about the book you are reading
ReplyDeleteI think that the before reading is the most useful. I think it is the most useful because you are seeing what you are learning about why you are reading this book and what is your purpose for reading.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you french banana 43. I also think the before reading strategy is the most important strategey too.before reading is the most important strategey because if you dont you wont know if you like that book or not and if you dont like it then you just wasted your time reading something you dont like to read.
ReplyDeleteI think before reading is most useful to me because, it tell me to make purpose, set a plan, and preview. So I can have a reason to read. And i can think during reading. So then I can answer my questions that I had befor reading.
ReplyDeleteI agree with pinkponies41 because i love to make connections when i read also.So i agree that the during strategy is the mostuseful
ReplyDeleteI think that the before reading is most important because, before you even start reading you have to make a plan to use sticky notes. You have to preview to know how long its going to take you to finish it, and finally you have to make a purpose question about the book.
ReplyDeleteI agree with pinkponies16. They said during reading too. They had very good spelling too. I liked it. It was short and simple.
ReplyDeleteI think the reading strategy is useful because it helps you read better has you get ready for middle school as a reader. As in the 6 was to actively read. Also making inferences and drawing conclusions it is also called the Know-How strategy.
ReplyDeletei agree with you pinkponies10 i also like the before reading strategy.
ReplyDeletei agree with pinkponies9 because i do most of those things that he said and i like the way he put the sentence at the end.
ReplyDeleteI think creating a picture is the most useful method of the 6 ways to actively read. I think it is because: when you read, you find details in the book, then a picture comes in your head that goes along with the story so it is easier to read.
ReplyDeleteI think this is rarely an epic fail for someone who wants be an active reader.
I agree with pinkponies16 because connecting to the book is an important part. Also creating pictures in your mind helps you connect. Good job pinkponies16!
ReplyDeleteI agree with frenchbanana5 because you don't understand what a spelling check it WOULD be easier to go back and reread what you didn't under stand
ReplyDeleteI agree with pinkponies18, because he/she is right all of those things are the most important.
ReplyDeleteI like the Before Reading Strategy because You get a look at what you're going to read and what its about. You also are able to see what kinds of pictures and headings or chapters it has. You can also see if it is too easy for you or too hard for you.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with french banana6. I think that the before reading stage is best. But the response it's self was very well written
ReplyDeleteI think during reading is very important! For example, can make connections and infer. Another example, you can also predict. One of my favorite things you do in during reading is you can picture what is going on in the book and picture it in your head it is very useful and fun! I agree a lot with frenchbanana6.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with pinkponies9 because you should read the book first.I think that the after reading is the best because you can share what the book was about to a friend. Also you summarize what the book was about so you don't forget.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with pinkponies30 because if you didn't have a picture to go along with the story then the story wouldn't make as much sense. Like our teacher said if you don't know what a word means then you might be thinking a whole different picture in your head. I like the way you did that pinkponies30!
ReplyDeleteI think it's the after reading stage. I think it is the after reading stage because it help you in the future with facts if you ever need the knowledge (if the book is nonfiction). Also it helps you with recommendations to friends or family.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion to pause and reflect is important. You can understand the book better. Also you make pictures in your mind that makes the book clearer.
ReplyDeleteI agree with frenchbanana5. I also think the after reading strategy is the most important. Rereading and remembering are the most important.
ReplyDeleteI think the during reading is the most useful. I think it is the most useful because you can connect and react. Also you can predict what will happen next.
ReplyDeleteSetting a purpose. Because you need a purpose to read. A purpose is important because it helps you be able to read actively
ReplyDeleteI think the reading stage is most important, because it helps you know weahter your going to read that book or not. Also if you dont't do it your probily not going to like the book you are reading. But if you do the reading stage you will most likely going to like the book and also understand the book you are reading.
ReplyDeleteThe before reading is good to because before you start to read than you can look at all the questions that way you don't have to keep flipping back and forth. Also you can skim the passage and see what the passage will be about.Than once you do all that you can start to read the passage and than once you think you have a answer you write it down.
ReplyDeletei agree with pinkpony39 with the before reading because the before reading you have to preview, plan, and purpose are like the 3 most important things in before reading
ReplyDeleteI liked pinkponies10 because it was very detailed and I picked befor reading strategy to. Great job pinkponies10.
ReplyDeleteI agree with french bannana47, that the
ReplyDeletebefore reading strategy is the most efficient strategy because you get to see what your about to read and see if you like it or not.
I agree with pinkponies39 because you have to plan and think about how long it’s going take you and what it’s going to be about. I also disagree with pinkponies30 because creating a picture is not as important as some of the other strategies like pause and reflect or connect. I also disagree with pinkponies30 because it could make you “epically fail” if you get a wrong picture in your mind. (if you don't understand something)
ReplyDeletei disagree with pinkponies16. the before reading strategy is important but not the most important. they are correct about connecting and making the pictures in your head. but in my opinion the before is the most important.
ReplyDeletehi there
ReplyDeleteI agree with pinkponies41. I agree because making connections is a big part of the reading process. It's important because if you don't relate to the book it might be less interesting. That is an important strategy pinkponies41!
ReplyDeletei disagree with frenchbanana47 because I think the during reading is better because its better to know what you're reading than it is to make predictions other wise I agree
ReplyDeleteI agree with Frenchbannes28. In my post I actually used the remembering process. It is very important to remember what you read. Some ways to remember what you read are right the information in the book by writing it down or tell a friend.
ReplyDeleteTheir is a lot of reading strategies I would prefer, but let me share the reading strategies that I would normally use.The first reading strategy I use is the before reading strategy because I like to skim the text, and if it is a picture book I like to look at the pictures. The second reading strategy would be the during reading strategy I use this strategy because when I am in the middle of a story I like to think about what I'm reading and predict what will happen next.Lastly I enjoy using the after reading strategy I like this strategy because after I read a book or a genera I like to think about what I just read. Those are all three of the strategies I prefer to use first to last.
ReplyDeletei agree with french bananas 47 because it is very important to to know what your reading and to see if you are going to like the book or not.
ReplyDeleteI like during reading because you can make connections and there are sometimes action in the story or sometimes theirs a mystery also theirs a lot of cool stuff in the during reading.
ReplyDeletefrench bananas29 I disagree with you because just because you go back and reread i kinda means that you did not understand what you read and have to go back and read it again and if you do a response about it you need to know your purpose for reading it and that strategy is for before reading.
ReplyDeleteI find the beginning strategy most useful because that's were you decide what book you like.If you don't like your book than it is hard to read it. Also you make a purpose in the beginning which gives you a point of reading the book.
ReplyDeleteI chose before reading because you get to start reading the book and you get to write on sticky notes. Also you get to make a prediction about what book you are reading. I also like before reading because you can choose if you want the book or not.
ReplyDeletei think before reading is the most important strategy . Because you get to know what the book is about . IT is also important to make sure you don't forget anything . Also so you have a purpose to read . it is fun to look at the pictures .
ReplyDeleteI agree with French Bananas43 because there's no point of reading. Also during the beginning strategy is where you make your purpose which is your point of reading it.I get really board when I don't like the book.
ReplyDeletei dont under stand french banana 40 do you mean before reading during reading after reading
ReplyDeleteI am answering to question 20. The title interested me because when I saw the word baseball, I wanted to read it because I like baseball and I play baseball.
ReplyDeletepinkponies 18 I like how you picked before reading because you could skim the book and preview it too.I also like how you said you can look for bold and highlighted words.
ReplyDeletei agree with frenchbananas24 because he likes to look at the pictures as do I . and we both think before reading is most important . we think skimming is important.
ReplyDeleteI think the after is most important. The after is most important because if you did not understand the text the first time when you reread you can understand it more. Also when you remember you can A.C.E. your BCRs
ReplyDeleteMy book is called the chenoo and the setting is here on earth long ago there was a chenoo a giant big monster that killed humans. Also it made necklaces with there skulls. My favorite character would be the chenoo because its evil. Also it made stuff out of the humans it killed like for example with there skulls it made necklaces.I picked this book cause i thought the horror was funny because its not true and its wierdish.
ReplyDeleteI agree with pinkponies35 because I like to have a purpose to read just like him.I also like it because I like to look at the pictures and so does pinkponies35.
