Blogging Rules for Digital Citizens
1. Our school is represented in this blog, so all school rules apply.

2. Type your comment in the "Post Your Comment" box.
3. Under "Choose an Identity" click the "Name/URL" button.
4. Next to "Name" type your codename (Ex: Frenchfry00). Do NOT type in your name.

The benefits for reading science text is that you can become a scintist and studying rocks in school. Also you can study space.
ReplyDeleteThe science reading gives you alot of information. Like the Five kingoms there was diffent ones that I did not know about. It gives you tips on the experiments you work on.When you work on animals you have to read about it .That is how the reading science helps

The reading process help me the beginning, during, and after, reading, process helped me. The beginning reading process helped me because I got to preview the pictures of maps and diagrams and I get to preview the words. The during reading process because I could get a clue about what was happening. And the after reading process helped me because I knew everything that happened because read the whole science text.

ReplyDeleteWell when I study for a test my notes help me remember pictures that I drew.It also helps me because on my notes there is extra information.
ReplyDeleteI think that the reading stategies are helpful because when you preview the text it gives you an idea of waht the article or text will be about. For example if I use the summary notes as my stategy then i will know all the important facts like dates and times.
ReplyDeleteI think the benifits of the reading strategies are that if you know what you're reading (the reading strategies meake sure you do) then you will understand the text much better if you do the Before During and After reading strategies.
ReplyDeleteNow I know that you can look at the diagrams and know that that is what the text or article is going to be about. They can also show me where certain parts of an person, animal, plant, etc. are. There are many more ways but this helps me the most.
ReplyDeleteThe before reading strategy helps to preveiw and find what you're about to read.Also setting a purpose helps you to stay on track and not just be lost in the middle of it. The during reading strategy helps because you can take notes and then write a summary afterwards. Finally, the after reading strategy helps because you can paraphrase or summarize the WHOLE text.

ReplyDeleteReading science texts helps because it tells you tips to become a scientist, or be a better scientist. For example some texts like the five kingdoms packet gives you information about anything living, where it gets grouped, so if you want to learn about that you could read that text and it will give you information about the three kingdoms.
