- My name is Mrs. French and I am a 5th grade Language Arts teacher. My goal is to engage students in their learning through the use of technology in order to support them in our digital world!
I am reading the book The Cay by Theodore Taylor.The main character is Philip Enright.So far the island he lives on became involved in World War II.His mother was taking him back to Virginia-where they used to live- but a torpedo hit them and Philip escaped with his mother and a black man.He and his mother were seperated.I think Philip will have to try to survive on the island where the boat landed.
ReplyDeleteI think the characters will be eager to get more money because of the cesspool the characters have. In the story they get a new water closet (It's a bathroom) and get the very first cesspool in their town.

Im reading the book The Cay bye Theodore Taylor.what i think will happen next in the story is that Philip and the black man will be rescued by Philips dad.then they will find

The book I am reading The Cay. The main character Phillip will be blind for a long time. Also Phillip develop to like Timothy more then he doses now. I think Phillip also will die because of his blindness.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called the cay. I think that Phillip is going to die in this book because on the cover him and timothy are tied up on a tree in the middle of nowhere in the ocean and a wave is about to hit both of them and it looks like they are going to die.
ReplyDeleteMy story is Sadako and the Thousand Cranes. I read the back of the book and it says she gets sick and Sadako has to make a thousand cranes so the gods will make her healthy again. I predict that Sadako will not get to finish the cranes and she will die.
ReplyDeleteI think in the Borrowers, someone will get caught soon.They already know that there are three little people living in there house, borrowing things.I think that Pod one of the borrowers will be the one to get caught and Kate will make Pod tell him were the other borrowers are and make them move out.

ReplyDeleteI’m reading the book Sadako. I think Sadako might die because it said they drop a bomb down on the city in Japan. I think that her mom and brother might die at the same time as Sadako. When they drop the bomb on the city they might get a disease called leukemia.

I am reading the book Shades Of Gray.I think in the end of the book since the Yankees killed his family I think he will try to get them back.I think the plot will change by Will is going to try to get into the yankee base and steal some information.His uncle Jed chickened out in the war against the yankees and I think he will help Will get into the yankee base.

But in the meantime I predict life will be very hard on the island. I think the plot will change because life with Timothy will be even more challenging because he is blind.
ReplyDeleteThe book Bud Not Buddy and I think he will run away from home or go back to the foster home.Or the family starts to like him and he will be good.But then he gets all mad and it goes back to normal.But thebrother Todd will like him secretly.

I am reading the cay by:theodore taylor.next in the story I predict that timothy the west indian and the boy hes with will get rescued and that the plane or boat that they get rescued in will be shot down or sunk.I predict the plot is going to thicken by the mom or dad getting frightened by their son missing.
ReplyDeleteI am reading "The Sign of the Beaver". So far, the main character,Matt,has a tough life without his rifle or his flour . I predict that Matt will be challenged extremely during these seven weeks or even more according to the the back cover.
ReplyDeleteIn my book “The Sign of the Beaver” I think the Matt will go walking in the woods one day and find an Indian. Then that Indian will take Matt to his tribe and soon Matt will forget about his formal life until his father comes looking for him. I think that the father will come home and find that his rifle is gone and that Matt is gone to so he sets out to find him and comes upon his son all dressed up in Indian clothes and eating the food the all the other Indians were eating and begs him to come home. I truly believe that this book will get very good.
ReplyDeleteWell so far in our story BUD NOT BUDDY the character Bud has been beaten harshly. His life is very unfair to him. I think that he will run off away from his mean and selfish foster family and go to a trainstation, take a train and meet a new family. I also think that the plot will thicken very quickly and change very often becasue the story is about a foster boy that lives in a shed that might run away and every time you put the book down you always want to pick it back up.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.It is a girl who lives in Japan named Sadako.She has two brothers and one sister.Sadako is 11 years old.Sadako was born on 1943.She dies at 1955 Sadako was 12 years old when she died.It is peace day in Japan.It is about when her annsisters died from the atom bomb.Sadako's gramma too.I perdict that she dies from the atom bomb.

I think that the story will develop by Sadako will go to the carnival and she gets sick because the atom bomb radiation and that killed hundreds of people in World War 2. I think sadako will fold a thousand paper cranes but she will not finish. The reason why sadako dies at the age of 12 years old.

I think that my book will end with his Aunt and Uncle will end up finding Maniac in Two Mill's [that is where he ran away to], and they will tell him a secret that he never knew and they have been keeping something about his parent's. That is what I think will happen at the end of my amazing book Maniac Magee.
