Blogging Rules for Digital Citizens
1. Our school is represented in this blog, so all school rules apply.

How to post a comment
1. Click on the "Post a Comment" button under the post to which you are responding. The number of current comments will be there, too. (ex: 5 comments)
2. Type your comment in the "Post Your Comment" box.
3. Under "Choose an Identity" click the "Name/URL" button.
4. Next to "Name" type your codename (Ex: Frenchfry00). Do NOT type in your name.

- My name is Mrs. French and I am a 5th grade Language Arts teacher. My goal is to engage students in their learning through the use of technology in order to support them in our digital world!
It is important to include the topic sentence, the three details, and the conclusion sentence. The paragraph couuldn't be complete without them.

ReplyDeleteWhen you summarize a text it is important to include important details. For example all of the main details like when its happening or where its happening . Also its important to not put in the little things that don’t really matter.
ReplyDeleteThe most thing that you want to include in a summary is the title, the author, what you have been reading, and the page number. Also you might want to include is if you like the book, and what it is about.

ReplyDeleteWhen I summariz a text I think it is important to include a main idea.And have 3 or 4 really good supporting details.And to finish it I think need to have a really good closing sentance.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that is semi different from everyones posts is that the 3 details that you must include are the most important or the major details not the un-needed or minor details.

ReplyDeleteMy book is called Mummies Don't Coach Softball by Debie Dadey and Marcia Thorton Jones.It is about how there coach is out and they have a subsatoot and the kids think he is a mummy.I do not think so because there is no such thing.My favorite character is Eddie because he reminds me of my brother.I think this is a good book because it has lots of detail.Finally,they never really told you the answer at the end but I still think he is not a mummy.
It is important to add the main chearters and the setting.Also you should look for repeted words.

ReplyDeletewhen you summaric a text make sure to include capitalize leaders and don’t write word from word out of the text make it your own but don’t make it sound like it is a complete different thing and you don’t need all the details it is a summary of the Paragraph.
